Top 4 Passive Income Books + Bonus pick!

I have researched and read many “passive income books” on the topic of passive income, investing, and real estate. These are my TOP picks, which also happen to be shared by some of the most successful people on the planet!
Money doesn’t fall from the sky and there is no free lunch. It’s up to you whether you get ahead in life or not. However, these books will reshape how you think about money, saving, and investing… ultimately increase the chances and rate of your success in life – be that financial freedom, career goals, legacy, and so on.

#1  “Rich Dad Poor Dad”

This is a MUST read book! Not only does it teach you how to generate passive income, it also teaches you about the investing mind set. Robert goes into great detail on the investor’s mentality (e.g. how the rich see and use money, how to use debt to your advantage, etc.) and why it is a fundamental pillar to being able to achieve true wealth as part of one’s quest for financial freedom. What I loved about this book:

• In depth detail on multiple different streams of passive income and investing strategies – some requiring little or low money down.

• Reshaped how I think about money, our monetary system, investing, and assets!

• Well written, entertaining, and left me wanting to learn more and take action! (seriously, this book truly catapulted myself (and thousands of others) into further financial education and the investing world)

#2  “The Book on Investing In Real Estate with No (and Low) Money Down”

It may come as no surprise that real estate is one of THE BEST passive income investment types on earth. This book covers off everything you need to know about how to get started investing in real estate. Moreover, I can attest that the title of this book is NOT “click bait”. This book actually describes in detail all the ways you can buy real estate with no or low money down. What I loved about this book:

• It gave me a huge set of useful tools to start my path to real estate investing (which I am proud to say has led me to being the owner of multiple properties).

• Step by step breakdown of the famous BRRRR (Buy, Renovate, “Re-rent”, Refinance, Repeat) strategy. This is the best BRRRR strategy book, hands down.

• The advice, steps, and information are written clearly and down to earth. The author Brandon Turner gives it to your straight and honest with clearly actionable steps.

#3  “Never Split the Difference: Negotiating as if Your Life Depended on It“

This book is an absolute game-changer for negotiations in all aspects of life, and I REALLY wish I came across it sooner. Whether it’s dealing with real estate transactions or simply navigating everyday conversations, the author’s practical techniques provide invaluable insights that anyone can apply. It’s like having a negotiation coach right at your fingertips, empowering you to achieve better outcomes and build stronger relationships through effective communication strategies. I found this book to be super motivational and I find myself excited to put the tools I learned into everyday life.

 

#4  “The Total Money Makeover: A Proven Plan for Financial Fitness”

Dave Ramsey is a no-nonsense guy and gives us a lesson on all the critical things you need to know about investing, money, saving, good debt vs bad debt, and discipline that we weren’t taught in school! This top three list would not be complete without some unique prospective from Dave. My philosophy has always been to listen to multiple perspectives on any given topic, followed by going off to form your own. This book has helped many people get control of their finances and get on the path to successful investing and passive income generation!

#Bonus Pick:  “Rich Dad’s Cashflow Quadrant: Guide to Financial Freedom“

Robert does it again by providing us with an insanely educational and eye-opening book on how to work less and earn more (the ingredients for passive income). This is a MUST READ book once you’ve completed Rich Dad Poor Dad. It goes much deeper into how one should think about their careers, taxes, investing strategies, and using money the way that the rich do to build and grow their wealth or businesses. Which quadrant do you want to be in???

Closing notes:

In addition to these being some of the most informative books on investing, financial education, and generating passive income, they are also very well written and quite entertaining. I have listened to all of these Audible audio books and I personally really enjoyed the narrating on all them! Fun fact: books #2 and #3 were narrated by the authors!
